The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that develops business enterprises for young adults. Our mission is to empower young people to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders. We provide them with the tools and resources they need to start and grow their own businesses. Our retail store offers a variety of products from our program participants as well as traditional gift store items that are sold to support the operations. Accomplishments

CES has worked with over 150 Youth who become involved through word of mouth. Why is this important? We feel it is because youth are telling each other, "You need to be a part of this." In a rural community where resources are limited and trust is earned, not given, this kind of organic engagement is proof that CES is providing something worth showing up for.

CES was the FIRST worksite in Franklin County to utilize Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Funding through the Department of Labor. This is landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

CES was awarded a Fiscal Year 2023 Congressionally Directed Spending federal grant to support a dedicated Planning Year for the development of a Youth Center rooted in our proven model. The planning process was completed in the spring of 2025, and now we’re ready to bring the vision to life!
